GQ x HM: Uglymoss

Born and raised in Sharjah – and now based in Dubai – the guy known professionally as Uglymoss, is a Syrian- Egyptian rapper, singer, and songwriter. Characterised by his style, fi ts, tattoos, and imagery built on a melodic rock star approach, he’s part of a new wave sound in the MENA region that’s creating a fresh culture of trap/rage music. It’s a moment born of instinct and opportunity. “Everything I lay my eyes on inspires me in a way,” says Moss. “Most times I never plan what I’m recording, I get in the studio and things just come together organically.”
