Clementine Paradies is an experiment of identity by photographer and artist Augustine Paredes. Born out of the desire to move away from the comforts of his photographic practice, Augustine, through Clementine Paradies, attempts to paint poetry in the light of softness and tenderness through artistic interventions, text-based images, and mixed media work.
Furthering this idea, Augustine has been selected as one of the fellows of The Salama bint Hamdan Emerging Artists Fellowship (SEAF) and is currently making work beyond the traditional realms of photography.
Through this experiment, Clementine Paradies has been exhibited in Alserkal Avenue, with Sa Tahanan Co., an all Filipino art collective. Earlier in 2021, Volkswagen Middle East commissioned the work "Between You And The Ocean" through Gulf Photo Plus.
